Problem: Defective Cameo Blade. Some early blades seem to have had quality issues that kept them from cutting properly. While this isn’t the case with every Cameo, some certainly seem to have had issues, particularly early on. Problem: Blade not set to the right setting. It can be tough to know what to set the blade at for different media. Cardstock, patterned paper, chipboard, vinyl, and fabric all require different settings. Just guessing doesn’t always work. Problem: Blade is not installed properly. It’s a little tricky to get the blade installed correctly in your Silhouette or Cameo. This video will show you how to get it in the right orientation. Watch it and then try it yourself on your own Cameo to see if it fixes the issue.

Problem: Blade is full of debris. Just as you have to clean your bobbin housing on your sewing machine every so often to remove lint and debris, it makes sense that you would have to clean your Silhoeutte Cameo blade too!
