Looking for the best Silhouette CAMEO tips?
Then start at the Silhouette Blog. You’ll find tutorials on the Designer Edition of Silhouette Studio, using the Print & Cut function, creating fancy edges on 12×12 paper and more. Plus links to the FREE shape of the week (and what their designers did with it), as well as projects, ideas, inspiration and more.
On the Flickr Group, Silhouette Machine: theCREATIVEplace, you’ll find literally thousands of images of projects created with the Silhouette. The search function isn’t the greatest for looking for something specific, but if you’re generic enough in your terms you’ll find plenty to inspire you. The Group also has a Discussion Board where people post questions, problems and inquiries and are helped solve their issues.
Silhouette is on Pinterest. Pinterest not only gives you wonderful projects, organized in catagories, but by clicking on the images, you’ll be taken to the original post, where you could find product lists and even tutorials.
These tips were written for the Silhouette SD, but should have no trouble translating to the CAMEO machine. At UCutAtHome blog, you’ll find several tips including: cutting outside the default 8 ½ x 11 size papers, cutting letters backwards to make applying adhesive easier, manipulating text, sizing, altering cut lines, using the vinyl to etch glass and more.
