How do I draw with the Silhouette Cameo?
The Silhouette CAMEO is an awesome cutting machine, but did you know it draws as well? The same beautiful designs the CAMEO cuts, it can draw! Here’s what you need to know:
To cut with the Silhouette Cameo, you simply replace the blade with pens; Silhouette sells Silhouette Sketch pens to fit their machines. You’ll also find a third party pen holder, which gives you more choices in pen sizes you can use at Amy Chomas*.
You’ll find project-based tutorials, using the print feature, on the Silhouette Blog. At Maggie Muggins she has a cute tag, using the print and cut functions.
You can find video tutorials on YouTube (search “Silhouette Print and Cut”) for other project-based videos. Here is a couple to get you going:
- ScrapHappyLain – Tags
- UnderACherryTree – Print & Cut Holiday Tags
- HappyLifeCraftyWife
- NicholM15 (Nichol Magouirk)
*When purchasing third-party applications, designs or parts, read about the sites carefully (find reviews if you can), and check out your warranty to be sure your purchase won’t void the warranty.
